Fantasy Football

Have you ever wished you could own a professional football franchise or coach a team? In this introductory class on Fantasy Football, students form their own football franchises, design team helmets, select players, play a regular season against other teams, and possibly participate in a playoff series. We'll even crown a league champion. Nearly 40 million Americans play fantasy football annually. The game is a great opportunity to have fun with friends and family both near and far. Compete in a realistic setting without risking injury or losing money-and enhance your enjoyment of the NFL season. In fantasy football, "owners" create imaginary teams, enter them in a fantasy league which then conducts a draft. Teams fill their rosters with actual NFL stars and are matched up in head-to-head contests. They earn points based on how well their players perform in that week's NFL games. As the regular season progresses, teams amass a win/loss record which determines their place in the league standings. The top six teams at the end of the season compete in three weeks of a single-elimination playoff to determine the league champion. Join us to experience an entire fantasy football season guided through the intricacies of the game by an instructor who has commissioned a fantasy league for 12 years. It will be fun!
