The Second World War affected every person in the United States, to a greater or lesser extent, mostly greater, as well as the world around us. The changes caused by the war set off a chain reaction: the last half of the 20th century became a time of faster and deeper changes than any period in human history.

This class will seek to understand the nature of the changes, their causes, and the further changes they provoked. These decades made the world we live in today-so these class sessions will try to help us understand how we got to our current situation and why. Along the way, we will also feel the nostalgia and enjoy the many positive aspects of the world we grew up in.
