The course will first cover the science behind climate change. Is it real? Is it manmade? What proof do we have? How to measure temperatures and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels from thousands of years ago? What about natural causes, like wobbles in the Earth's axis or earthquakes? What fossil fuels are implicated?

The course will then examine the consequences of climate change, tipping points of no return. Can we go backwards on CO2 levels and global temperatures if we overshoot our climate goals?
